Tonight's schedule called for P90X's Chest and Back and Insanity's Max Cardio Conditioning and Cardio Abs. Last week when I was looking at the Insanity schedule I noticed asterisks by some of the workouts. It said I can substitute Insane Abs for Cardio Abs and Max Interval Sports Training for Core Cardio and Balance if I had the deluxe package. I checked my DVD's and whaddya know! I have the deluxe package! Why didn't I see this before?!
Chest and Back - done. Max Cardio Conditioning - done. Let's pop in Insane Abs! WTF! It won't play! That's okay. There's also Insane Abs on the Max Interval Sports Training DVD. WTF! Why is it skipping?! Ah, yes. The boy. I remember him playing with some of the DVDs once upon a time. Sigh. Well, now I don't feel like doing anything now. Ah, well. 2 out of 3 ain't bad.
And since I thought having kids was hard, how about adding a dog to the mix. Hehe. Martin and I have been talking about getting a dog for some time. We've only been half-serious since neither of us is much of an animal person. However, I've read a lot of articles on how having a dog can be quite beneficial for autistic children. (Aaron, my boy, was diagnosed with PDD-NOS when he was about 2.) And it would also be nice to have a running companion. Plus it would force me to get out there every day.
I did a ton of researching and decided that if we were to get a dog, it would be a golden retriever. Well, Martin showed me one on petfinder's yesterday. And today I filled out an application.
I'm both scared and excited!
