My right hammie was still feeling a little tight this morning, so I decided to forgo today's long run altogether to give it a bit of break. (Convenient, huh? And I want to run a marathon. Hehe.)
Oh, by the way, yesterday's garage door incident? Well, it turns out, I could have just closed the garage door by pulling on the bottom handle to begin with instead of the handle at the top that unlocked it. Oh. The husband just sadly shook his head at me when I showed him how I closed it.
Anyway, today was my last day of Insanity's Core Cardio and Balance. And since it's not that hard-core, I figured it would be okay for my hammie. I just didn't go as deep in the hamstring stretches (not like I could anyway - I'm as flexible as a rock), and I didn't kick as high in the switch kicks. I still matched them move for move and was surprised that I wasn't as sweaty as normal. Perhaps I've grown accustomed to it now? Or maybe I just half-assed my effort today.
Tomorrow I do another fit test and then it's a Month 2 workout. Yikes!
I find that it helps me keep up with some of the moves if I watch myself in a mirror. I liked how my back looked in my reflection. And that would be my back-back, not my ass back. Because well, frankly, I have no ass. I try to grow it. I do a bazillion squats and lunges and leg presses with weights. Nothing. Anyway, I like to think I have nice muscles in my back. Of course, unlike shoulders and biceps, I'm not sure what a ripped back looks like. So my back could be mediocre for all I know. But I like it.
My son likes jumping in my pictures. This one cracked me up when I looked at it.
