P90X's Legs and Back + Insanity's Core Cardio and Balance = Extreme Lower Body Fatigue

Today's schedule called for an hour of weights, an hour of spin class and Insanity's Core Cardio and Balance. I got up early, threw on some gym clothes, ate a banana for energy, then called the gym to make sure there were classes going on today. Negative. Gym clothes came off, and I hopped back in bed.

However, since I've been eating like a pig for the past few days (cinnamon roll french toast, pasta, toast (white bread! gasp!) with butter, bacon, Cheetos, a Whatchamacalit candy bar, fig newtons, etc.), I knew I had to exercise today to burn some of it off. P90X Legs and Back for the win.

I hadn't done P90X Legs and Back in a while since I figured Insanity was more than adequate for my lower body. But since it was my Insanity Recovery Week, I figured I could use it. I did it. But I had forgotten that they make you do a ton of pull-ups and chin-ups, too. Sigh. Not my greatest strength.

When I was done, I still felt pretty good, so I figured I would do Insanity's Core Cardio and Balance immediately afterward. It had been a while since I had done this, too, and I forgot that they make you do some cardio moves in this, too. They don't make you go as hard as the other workouts, but it's still a decent workout. I didn't realize how tired my lower body was from P90X until I got to the log jumps. I had to laugh at myself as I was only able to jump maybe an inch from the ground. And I forgot about the crazy hip flexor exercises they make you do in this workout. Tough, but I did it!

Anyway, now I'm super tired. But I still keep eating. Argh!
